San Antonio

San Antonio is a large city (both in population and land area) located in the south central part of the U.S. state of Texas. It has a population of more than 1.4 million and covers a land area of around 460 square miles. San Antonio, which is named after Saint Anthony of Padua, is the second-most populous city in Texas and seventh-most populous in the country. Between 2000 and 2010, it was the fastest growing of the 10 largest cities in the U.S. San Antonio is the seat of Bexar County.

The city has a diversified economy with focus being mainly on the financial services, military, healthcare, oil and gas, civil service and tourism sectors. It is a major hub of call centers in America and has a considerably large manufacturing sector. The military plays a very key role in the economy with the defense industry employing nearly 90,000 people.
